Music Page

Welcome to our Music Page

Every child at Giffards Primary School engages in quality music education from Year 1 until the end of KS2 in Year 6.  Music is used to enhance teaching of the core curriculum in addition to being taught as a stand-alone subject.  In KS1 and KS2, pupils participate in weekly music assemblies and a one hour curriculum music lesson with Miss Walker.

Every child has the opportunity to join a music club throughout the year. The most popular clubs are Singing, Drumming and Guitar.

Giffards Primary also works closely with our local Music Hub, Thurrock Music Education Hub, to provide quality and engaging learning experiences.

This professional programme begins in Year 3 and gives the opportunity to learn a musical instrument with professional tutors.

We also take part in the Junior Music Festival, which is held every summer in Civic Hall, Grays.

We have files saved here for children to practice their singing or instrument at home, keep checking back for updates and see you in the Music Room!

Below are the songs for the Thurrock Music Festival, below are the song tracks and words for you to practice
