Attendance

Encouraging regular school attendance is one of the most powerful ways you can prepare your child for success—both in school and in life. When you make school attendance a priority, you help your child get better grades, develop healthy life habits, avoid dangerous behaviour and have a better chance of success in their life.

Children who miss school often can fall behind with their work and do less well in exams. Arriving late often also has an impact, it not only means your child misses out on seeing their friends before school starts they also miss the initial input from the teacher of that lesson. Arriving late disrupts the whole class, so we do ask that you ensure your child arrives on time every day.

Please do have a look at our Attendance Policy and our Attendance and Punctuality booklet for parents. Hopefully you will find it useful, the table showing the impact that missing school has makes for interesting reading. Please feel free to contact us if you have any queries.
